  • What are the best ages for my dog to be trained in your program?
Training starts as soon as you bring your puppy home, with early training leading tofaster results. Dogs progress through developmental stages—puppy, adolescent, and mature—each requiring a tailored approach. While basic training can begin at six weeks, board and train programs are most effective for dogs between 5 to 6 months and up to 7 ½ years. Each program is customized to ensure an effective and personalized training experience.
  • How long is your training program?
The resident board and train program lasts a minimum of 21 days, focusing on consistent training for lasting behavioral changes. This 21-day timeframe is a baseline, not a limit—training continues until your dog meets the established goals. I ensure quality training, while you are responsible for maintaining and reinforcing it at home.
  • Can I visit my dog or see my dog during the training period?
To ensure effective training, visits with your dog are not permitted, as they can disrupt progress and cause emotional distress for your dog. However, I provide regular updates through videos, photos, and other media. You can also follow your dog’s training journey with daily posts on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • How much does your program cost?
Our training programs are tailored to meet each dog's unique needs, with costs based on factors such as trainer involvement, responsibilities, and time required to achieve your goals. While pricing is generally standardized, it can be adjusted for specific needs. For details, contact Dan Kaase at (214) 435-2912 to discuss your dog’s training requirements and objectives.
  • What tools / techniques do you use during the training program?
Every dog is unique, requiring an individualized training approach rather than a one- size-fits-all method. I use a variety of proven techniques, including food rewards, toys, training collars, e-collars, and verbal reinforcement, selecting what best motivates each dog. A combination of methods often yields the best results, and other dogs are incorporated into training to enhance learning. The process is guided by your dog's responses, ensuring a personalized and effective training experience.
