PUPPY TRAINING 101
“In young puppies, it is essential to shape their behaviors and establish good habits early on to prevent future issues, rather than addressing problems that stem from their formative months. I have worked with many dogs that exhibit strong obedience despite behavioral challenges, often because obedience was prioritized from an early age. While obedience training is crucial, it can be effectively taught at any stage of a dogs life. In my training programs, I typically begin formal obedience training for dogs older than 20 weeks of age.”

Puppy training starts as soon as you welcome your new puppy home, and it should continue throughout their life. The earlier you begin, the more effective the training will be as your dog matures.
My primary objective in puppy training is to help them adapt to our homes and address any misbehaviors before they escalate. While training your puppy, I focus on shaping their behavior in a fun way, ensuring they enjoy the process and don’t even they are "working."
I typically start informal obedience training at a young age through fun play and
learning. The Resident Board and Train is available for pups that are 6 months old or older.
